Brooklyn born, Lorenzo “Tony” Wyche is a man with a profound passion for music.   Lorenzo received his earliest musical training at The Juilliard School.  He went on to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music performance.

From the mid 1970’s to the early 1990’s, Lorenzo toured and recorded with hit R&B, pop, soul, and rap recording artists such as: Stevie Wonder, Public Enemy, Gloria Gaynor, Sam & Dave, Stacy Lattisaw, The Four Tops, Debbie Harry, and many, many more. Through the years, Lorenzo also worked the New York City private party circuit, with New York’s top society dance bands, performing at thousands of private and corporate events.

His desire to share his passion with young people was the catalyst for his career in music education. Under the auspices of VH1 “Save the Music”, Lorenzo developed instrumental music programs for the City of New York Department of Education. He was featured in the New York Daily News for his work, and his programs were applauded in a VH1 national television broadcast supporting music education.

Lorenzo was a faculty member, teaching instrumental music orchestra, at the Hempstead Long Island Public School District, Hempstead, NY from 2002 until his retirement in 2016.

Lorenzo firmly believes that the arts can make a difference in the world and in the lives of each of us.
